Imagine if you conceded the mob you wiped to, and didn’t go for it, since you were conceded, you might not have lost the race. Imagine all the people, ....

So a little more backstory for those not in the loop. Freedom concedes trak x2 for training poop mtn. Freedom is then banned for a week after their guild leader boxes a Riot bot to train Riot at a Koi engage and then lies about it to GMs a week or so prior. Then after the ban is up, they assume that the two that spawned during their ban would count towards their concession and accordingly engage the next trak that pops after their week ban is over. Riot complains that you can't concede a mob you are ineligible to engage and demands an additional trak be conceded (along with 3 more traks and 2 vulaks for whatever reason lol). The decision goes to the GMs and the GMs come back and say that raid bans do not impact your concessions and that the two that spawned while they were banned count towards their concession, no further concessions necessary. Not the correct interpretation by the GMs in my opinion, but hey, its their game, we have to play by their rules.
The fun starts when, during the window for the final golem for the sceptre of destruction race in ST, trak pops and ag/f decide to go for it. Riot has all raiding on hold until the final golem for the races is downed thus isn't contesting anything other than ST. About a minute after ag/f engage trak, motg spawns and Riot wins fte. From what it sounds like ag/f have racers run up as well, but hey, you know, kill one concede two, nothing wrong with that right? Either way, Riot wins fte and the final golem while ag/f are locked out due to their trak engage (that they also wiped on btw). Kittens comes in and then kills trak while ag/f are recovering to throw salt into the wound. So, had there been any reasonable interpretation of the rules rather than a favorable interpretation for Freedom saying that their two concessions were served while they were ineligible to even contest the mob, they would not have been locked out with many of their raiders dead in trak lair, and they would've been able to more competitively try to win the motg for the last four slots of the sceptre of destruction roll off. | ||
