Default Gargoyles in OOT and looting if they path over water

Lately it seems like on green (don't seem to remember it as much on blue) that if a gargoyle starts running away and it goes over water, it appears to be falling down constantly back into the water and when it does finally die it is nearly impossible to loot.

Some I was able to loot by making a /loot button and spamming it while swimming all over the general area that its actual corpse may be (the visual one is almost never lootable), but sometimes even using levvy to get to where it looked like it was falling from it seems impossible.

Idk if this is a normal thing, I never really have this issue with other mobs like crocs or any other NPC that paths over water, but gargoyles are on another level. I know those corpses that are un-lootable probably have like 50 eyes on them too!

The same thing happened to me with gargoyles and wyverns and cobalt drakes on Blue.

This is happening with Guards in North Felewith on Blue as well.
