Game Mechanics: On pet death

I've noticed this a lot more since I've started chain petting ------

Whenever my pet dies, the mob that it is killing will hit me once immediately when the pet dies (no matter how far the mob is away from me). [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This sucks so hard because sometimes you get interrupted, and you are counting on that pet to be summoned and get aggro to finish the job.[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yep same thing happens to me, I've been hit across the zone multiple times.

Sucks when you get ambushed by a red con, start running.. Only to be struck down at a distance for 300 dmg from a "slash" while the mob is 30 seconds behind you finishing off your pet!

Yeah, its really great when you send Goner in to stall the high level mob while you gate...and then your gate gets interrupted by an attack from across the map.
