Classic merges happened with adding an x to one of the names, but devs would probably allow renaming of merged toons. The strongest opposition by far is from people who are or think they'll be top raiders/tunnel fat cats who don't want a merge out of fear of the value of manastones.

Green 1.0 is gonna go down the same was Blue did when Green 2.0 launches why not let all the dead servers be the same.
Gotcha. Ty for the explanation. It would make sense to cycle all 3 xpacs and then merge, rinse, repeat. Creating a graveyard server of sorts

Plan pre-Green launch was to turn Blue from beta to graveyard, current plan is unknown but given how some high play time Green players are pre-emptively clinging to their top-raider status I think devs might cave and make multiple graveyards (which is bad imo).

since the server split, have noticed, very hard to find a group..
not many people on...
Blue is way more functional but everyone left to join green and teal..
Green has many people..
Teal is doesnt.

Now we have what used to be "barely enough" people, split up into 3 servers.

Anyone else notice this?

Tried various classes, but the rule of thumb seems to stay the same, learn to solo everything or load up overwatch.. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
I called this over the summer. My prediction was that p99 will die out my March 2020. That might not be an accurate timeline now, but at least people are seeing what splintering the community does.

My interest in a classic seres always dies with Velious. Not because I think Velious is bad, it’s just where I taper off and quit. Classic and Kunark are why I’m here. It’s what I did on Live, on Blue, and will do on Green. By the time green rolls into wherever it’s going, I’ll be gone. Only question is will I be starting on the next iteration of Green, I keep telling myself this is the last time, but it never seems to pan out that way.

Are you going to be upset when Green gets rolled into Blue?
There is absolutely no way that's happening and you know it.

Even if Blue doesn't merge with Green/Teal or not. What happens when Green/Teal get merged which has to happen at some point right? What if someone has a full account on both or even just 10 chars combined?

I mean people think this would happen because it's a good idea to let all the dumpster toons sit together instead of breaking up the end game community. Not to mention this seems to be fairly split and not just one sided against merging.

Hordes of players will be back on blue once they hit 50 and the legacy items are removed. End game in vanilla EQ is really boring.
