They are both high level resist debuff spells???? Only difference is Malo lasts longer, and is slightly more powerful?

I think that certainly qualifies as "remotely the same kind of spell" - in fact, it makes them very similar spells

What if GMs wrote down in writing not to use OOS explicitly, and you still did it? Then are you at fault? Asking for a friend.

That gm is an idiot that doesn't understand how long OOS lasts and that it's not the same kind of spell as malo. Hint: how long the spell lasts and the fact that statue arrived in camp without OOS on it matters. Context is king.
