Default Cultural armor and jacinth

At some point doesn't cultural armor get changed, where jacinth isn't needed. Making the armor and enchants a lot more logical and valuable for the smith and customer?! It happens before velious, but velious is quickly approaching our Norrath!

Re: your PM. I took another look at the Wiki after another user on here suggested it was take 85 blue diamonds / jacinths to make a full set and I can't see how he got to that number.

I count a maximum of 39/40 blue diamonds (or jacinths, in your case) required to acts as reagents for the enchanter to do his thing when making all the folded metal.

Still kind of a long haul project requiring weeks in Sebilis but maybe not quite as absurdly impossible as I thought it was.

The patch that removed the gem component happened April 2001. Thats about 4 months into Velious

April 17, 2001 Patch Notes
Quote:
Removed Gem component from the following spells. They will now only require the metal components. These are the Enchant spells for making cultural armor.

High failure rate, though.

An "Enchanted Folded Brellium Sheet" takes 1 "Enchanted Block of Brellium".
An "Enchanted Block of Brellium" takes 3 "Enchanted Lrg. Brick of Brellium".
3 jacinths are needed for 1 "Enchanted Folded Brellium Sheet".

"Enchanted Brellium Jointing" require 1 jacinth to craft and give you 2 pieces of jointing.

"Enchanted Dwarven Breastplate" need 3 "Enchanted Folded Brellium Sheet" + 1 "Enchanted Brellium Jointing".
So 3x3 + 1x3 = 10 jacinths.

I let you do the math for other pieces.

You need 75 jacinths for a full set if you don't fail any part.

As per wiki "Reagent: Jacinth (Removed with April 17, 2001 patch, 1 month into Warrens Era.)".
That's 4 months into Velious.

That said, I don't understand the OP question.

It's actually 79 total. The guy above is only factoring 1 bracer from what I can tell.

The 85 number factors in 1, and only 1 FAIL, of a moderate (2 sheet) item.

One FULL set, which includes non-visible pieces, equals 13 pieces:
  • 24 Folded Sheets total
  • 24 x 3 bars = 72 enchanted bars
  • 1 jointing per piece = 13 jointing required
  • 1 bar makes 2 jointing, so 13 jointing divided by 2 = 6.5 bars
  • However you need to round up to 7 bars for jointing if you want the full set
  • 79 jacinths total to enchant those bars. 85 would give you 2 spare sheets and the leftover jointing from the round up to possibly create another piece.
