Am I looking in the wrong places?

Also, are prepaid wireless services able to receive this confirmation SMS like the contract-plus-your-firstborn type companies? We've used Straight Talk for years after getting burned by Sprint. It doesn't usually have a signal at our house, but none of the other services our friends use do, either.

I'm willing to drive back up to the top of the hill to get the SMS confirmation, but I had a signal and I didn't get a message. So... err... can it be resent?
