If you still have permission to leave multiple boxes in from GMs it should not be a private tool for you. It should be open to everyone to view.

It was also really useful to read the OOC auctions for the past day or so looking for items.

It's the same idea. You need a box logging 24/7 and a script to parse/upload to a DB. Very simple.. if you have the box that can log 24/7.

I think on blue they have people that even submit logs that are lost when the box is down.

Also, who really cares if there are random lvl 1 alts afk. It doesn't change the game like boxing a porter/bard/buffer/rezzer does. I would love if we could box freely like Azrael, but we can't.

If you guys want I can easily build something that takes submitted logs.

Question... do the timestamps in the log reflect the server's time or client's time? If everything is based on server time it would be easily to avoid duplicate kill shots and auctions.

Only problem with user submitted logs is they're easy to fake and would be much more reliable if there was a dedicated toon logging.

On blue they can rely on user submitted logs because no one is going to waste time making a fake auction, whereas on Red, the urge to rustle jimmies could easily force someone to sprinkle in some fake YT..

I wouldn't worry about a board Vile. I was only talking about ooc for auctions. Pretty sure the boards will be back sometime soon. Elderan is working on making them better so people don't use it for a reason to grief.
