Beta Newbie - /beta question

Going to check this out tonight possibly but have a few questions.

I plan on copying my EQ directory to a new location and running the beta.zip file.

What I don't yet understand is the beta copy portion... Do I just log into Blue server and type /beta on my toon and then log into Beta?

After that, I know I am supposed to run to N Ro and use the beta buff....

You log into your blue toon and type /beta then /beta again. Log onto beta after you copied the files and your toon will be in Nro at merchants where you can beta buff yourself.
