Wink Make EQ's Music sound like a BOSS! (2023)

Hello fellow members of P1999. I am a long time player on this server, and i thought to share something with you that would make your EQ experience a little more harmonic. Long time ago, there's been this post up explaining how to enhance the music of the game. Some of the links are broken/gone and the program that was being used is outdated and obsolete, here i present you a new program plus a new soundfount pack which (in my humble opinion) beats by far the sound of the AWE 32/64.

1) Go to this website and scroll down until you find the last version of Virtual SynthMID, download and install.https://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth

2) Open the program and then click on the + icon to add fonts, then you can head to this link https://archive.org/download/soundfonts_201910

3) I highly recommend the ChoriumRevA.sf2, this sound pack is amazing, makes the music more realistic and very enjoyable. On the other hand, if you feel nostalgic of 1999 download the AWEROMGM.sf2, sounds like an AWE 32/64.

TIP: You can have several .SF2 loaded up, the one on the bottom of the list is the one that takes priority. Just sort your list using the up and down arrows.

That's it, i hope it helped and that people can enjoy again the nice music of EQ!

Thank you for sharing this information with the P1999 community! Enhancing the music in EverQuest can add to the immersive retro bowl experience of the game, and it's great to see you providing updated resources for achieving that.
