Default Weapon advice for a new rogue

I am returning to eq after more than a decade and want to play a rogue.

I was wondering what are some good lowbie rogue weapons. I remember large snake fangs being decent.

Thanks for any help.

From my own experiences with a lowbie (20ish rogue in green) experience, snake fangs are super common but the easiest camp would be Dorns dagger in North Ro, right below freeport if you want a magical weapon!

Got that around level 12, having used before just a trusty snake fang [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

as an offhand I got a cheap minotaur axe

https://wiki.project1999.com/Minotaur_Battle_Axe

Since the offhand is tied to how often the dual wielding ability triggers, you better off with a high damage weapon there, the axe works wonders, though I changed to a gnoll hide lariat for fun as I like the whip animation, even if damage is lower hehe.

the dirk is a bit expensive if you dont want to camp it, but the snake fang is actually quite easy to get and can last you for a while

Also welcome to Green friend!

Big hug to you from the Lonely Isthmus!

Solid ratio. Interesting that the item icon is a 2h sword. What does it look like equipped?

Icon should be the same as Obsidian Shard. I had one on live during classic. Looks like any old dagger when equipped.

Ahh, too bad. Would be hilarious to see the stab animation with a 2h sword graphic.
