Ranger Defense Upgrade

Rangers,

Any noticeable tanking difference with the defensive updates they received in the final patch?

My 59 ranger feels a bit less squishy with the defense/riposte upgrades but I expect it’s mostly placebo. I still have like 1900 hps so, shrug. Definitely can’t hurt!

Against most content ranger were already at the point of diminished returns on mitigation with 200 defence.

My old parses in KC confirmed this.

What i expect is rangers to have significantly improved avoidance (as they lagged far behind the other tanks/monks on this previously).

The flipside of this is they will have a greatly reduced output from their damage shield.

I don't expect there will be an appreciable difference on top end stuff. Expect to still survive only 2-3 rounds vs AoW when weaponshield drops ��.
