Default Globalload.txt Error

I haven't tried to log in since the velious was first released, I just downloaded the new patch and I cannot get to character screen because I get a "Globalload.txt is not current version, please download all p99 files". I have done this multiple times and still not getting anywhere. Anyone had this issue and can help me out? I am running this on Windows 7 and I have never had any issues before and was playing when Velious was first released. Any help would be appreciated [You must be logged in to view images. Uhh.... the gods of P99 decided... "for our safety"... that they will verify the integrity of the Globalload.txt file; ensuring the version you're running matches the version that is supplied with the P99 updates.

Any deviation of this violates the integrity of the file and P99 will not load. Re download the P99 patch, and copy the Globalload.txt file to your EQ directory.

TLDR: You're being forced to use classic models.

Moving P99 out of the Program Files folder worked for some people. If that's where yours is, then move it.

Moved Sony folder to desktop, re-downloaded the patch, still same error. Has anyone else had this problem? Any more suggestions? Anything would be appreciated..

What is the modified date and size of your globalload.txt file?

Try moving your directory to your hard drive like c:\everquest
Then turn off all antivirus programs during your extraction and copying of your patch files. You may want to add Everquest as an exception to firewalls too.

It says the modified date is 8/9/15 and the size is 1.77 KB (1,814 bytes), I'll try the switching folder to C://

Apparently there was a bug in my Norton Anti-Virus program, ironic? It was not letting me download the full patch without quarantining select files. After an uninstall of Norton and and patch extract, then I reinstalled Norton and everything was fine. Thank you to everyone that attempted to help and read this thread.
