So to recap:

The police we dump billions into arming like the military apparently are incapable of stopping a couple hundred drunk larpers from breaking into our nation's capitol building.

Rioters looted and destroyed property in the capitol building.

4 dead, some police / rioters injured, couple dozen arrests.

Rioters planted pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC, a cooler full of molotov cocktails, half dozen or so guns, some IED's found on capitol grounds.

Trump got his twitter account locked, to which his followers then moved to TrumpSC's twitter, who is actually a hearthstone content creator and is not, in fact, Donald Trump.

Sounded like congress hit the booze during half-time and then finished up later in the night.

Pretty much. How many billions upon billions have gone into those police forces? They need new leadership if this is how they respond to an actual riot. Unlock the door and let them in?? Standing in a line as people streamed inside, 40 deep. Not one budged.

Where was the good guy with a gun to protect the capital? We always hear about him.. How he could take down the shooter, the terrorist, the attacker. This shit makes me sick. An insurgency will follow.

Who knows, what I do know is that I deftly hope the republican party starts shifting far back to center to people like McCain and Romney, people who I frankly never agreed with their positions but always knew they cared about America and general honesty. A one party system is nothing I desire.
