The June 1944 map of Europe showed Germans winning because they held territory in Russia. The maps would still show the Germans to be winning in December of that year because they still held territory outside Germany. In fact they launched a major offensive at the time.

Most everyone agrees that the point where Germany started to lose the war was August of '43, right after Kursk.

But talking of winning and losing is not really applicable since no war was declared and there will not be a binary terminus.

What we're really talking about is outcomes. If we remove the nuclear holocaust as one possible outcome, the rest look real shitty for Russia and much better for Ukraine and the rest of the world.
