Default Graphic Bug

Do not know if it is possible to fix. Luclin models are off. I remember this happening on Live when Luclin released. My barbarian from that day on in old graphics had black feet and black spots on the plate helm horns. Also the plate helms, the sides are suppose to be straight down beside the face, they now do like a triangle and go into the chin. Also kind of along the lines of human/half elf and not sure who else plate helms dont have the slits for eyes, they are solid. Here is a screenshot slightly showing what I mean. Anyone have any suggestions?

edit: the boots on the left are half elf.

This shows up in a lot of other places as well. There's a particular female High Elf hairstyle that has these holes in it. Same with Halfling plate. Almost every plate visor. And a few buildings.

I'd love a fix for this issue. I've encountered the helm glitch ever since Luclin. In the mean time, 'hide helms' is the best fix I know of.

It has something to do with the way transparencies are handled by the client. A lot of things that used to be transparent are now showing up as black. Hell, even some things that *weren't* transparent seem to have black dots. The little house in the middle of qeynos hills is a good example. The front of it is covered in black dots. But if you look at the texture file itself it looks just fine.

If this is Client side would that mean we could supply an older version of a file to make it work? This has bothered me since Luclin originally came out.

Nope, it has nothing to do with the texture files being incorrect. The actual classic zone files have not chanced since 1999. Only the eqgame.exe is what changes over time. In other words, something was messed up in the way the game draws certain things. Since we can't change the client, there is nothing that can really be done.

Oh. Darn.

I still hope someone comes up with something.

Boots are fixed in the texture patcher.

Couldn't find the spots on horns. It's open for anyone to fix now, so good luck!
