Default Norrathians are weak.

With zero training, they can barely win a fight against an armadillo or a large rat, and a coyote absolutely destroys them. It makes me wonder how truly powerful a level 60 Warrior is by Earth standards. Discuss.

No discussions over QVC products that allow sharpened rust swords to cut hides of armadillers is allowed. Sharpened sword is sharp
Batwing crunchies at Level 60 lead to more "tunnel vision" than typical Summoned: Black Bread (a.k.a. Pump-er nickel) giving an advantage those raised in the town fronts of Qey and FP. Clearly, accuracy is improved giving greater quantity of hits and thus higher rates of killed coyotes

i'm a grown adult man and tbh, while i do think i could win a fight against a large right, i'd definitely take some hits and lose some health before the fight ended. Keep in mind, an EQ-sized large rat is the size of a small child. So I don't know how weak I'd really call the average Norrathian.

What does impress me, though, is how a shopkeeper can destroy a player with his bare fists until level 50 or so.

While at the same time being mentally weak and succumbing to an enchanter's bidding [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Makes OOT fun among other places.

Does this picture indicate an innate Enrage ability for all merchants?

Me too ... or a skeleton, or a glowing beetle the same size as I am, or a bat that's bigger than I am, or ...

At one point I had this semi hilarious idea of your level 1 human just sitting at work like normal and then just all of a sudden being overcome by the insatiable thirst for heroism and just grabs a piece of wood or a sword and charges out the front gates to kill local wildlife

It's like looking out your office window and seeing a pigeon and grabbing a stapler to go do combat with said pigeon

Why don't any of the lowbie mobs in classic EQ flee when attacked?
