We got a bad hand dealt to us, but if we sit around and complain about the injustice of it all, our situation won’t change and more likely will deteriorate, coming from extensive personal experience. If you place responsibility for how your life ended up somewhere outside of you, you’re powerless to effect any change. Hope is a finite resource, though; and it’s in short supply for anyone not coming from ideal circumstances. Add some minor mental illness and congrats, you’re servant class for the rest of your life. I think the system can be navigated by anyone, but it takes hope and a guiding hand, or what rich kids call parents.

Yeah it’s interesting how streamlined acquiring wealth and status is for children coming from wealth, but for those like me coming from nothing.. I get the American Dream. If I just work 40-80 hours a week while completing my community college classes over 6 years, I can be lower middle class someday if the crippling stress doesn’t relegate me to gas station attendant permanently like it almost did. I really resent the system, but I still want to better myself to be in a position to help people with similar backgrounds. I hope it works out.

Tru n it should be better. It would better our entire civilization if it somehow actually got better. This isn't sarcasm.
