Default Darkforge Armor Quest

So, id like to pick the brain of anyone with experience on this. The wiki says that the decayed pieces drop from crusaders and ritualists.

My question is which is better to 'camp'. The crusader or the ritualist? The crusader spawns at the Temple. The ritualist spawns in the maze. I think the ritualist's PH's would be a little lower in lvl so easier to kill, but are the spawn rates different for either of the droppers?

I would appreciate any info if there is any to be had.

Thanks!

I think that’s a mistake. I farmed an entire suit of dark Forge and only ever saw the decayed pieces drop off the Crusaders. And if I remember correctly that’s how it was on live also

I completed a full set of darkforge a few months ago.

Best place for Crusaders is the Archon Pyramid, but they can also be found at the Avatar Pyramid and also in the sewers. What I did was I self-bound at the top of the Archon Pyramid, cleared that area and then went to the other areas. Once it was time for the Archon area to repop, I gated back and cleared again.

The ritualist that spawns on that small pyramid in the maze can drop one random piece of decayed armor, so he is worth clearing on the way to the Avatar area.

Good luck!

If you're doing it by yourself at level, ritualist spawn can be done easily. Just note its not like on live during the era where it was only him at the dead end and a single pathing lizard coming up to the entrance of his circle. You'll need to snare/fd split him from his mobs with your pet up, having the pet eat the HT.

Does anyone know the spawn timer for the ritualist? It is longer than the regular timer for other mobs

Shortest I've seen him spawn was a little over an hour, longest being 2 hours. He has a variable spawn time (on live it was exactly 2 hours).

If you're farming these for the SK epic quest, you can skip all of that part.
