Quad kiting: why not 16? And more questions
I'm asking because I don't know the answer, not to prove a point. Why is it that druids and wizards quad kite, when up to 16 mobs can be damaged at a time by aoe spells? Why not kite 16 mobs?
Also, how do you all manage resists on AoE kiting? Does that really mess up your system? How does AoE snare work? Seems like it would be a nightmare with resists with some mobs running faster than others. | ||

Targeted AoE is up to 4 mobs.
PBAoE (point blank) is up to 25 mobs. Quad kiting uses targeted aoe spells. Bard swarming uses PBAoE DoT songs. | ||

When Chardok runs we're still going on, how many mobs did they have in the fray? How did they keep them all mass rooted without a couple of them breaking?

Chardok aoe involved enchanters keeping everything chain stun-locked while a crew of PBAOE wizards/mages aoe nuked em down.

there was no aoe cap during Chardok aoe days, so there would be 125-175 mobs in camp at once all being aoe stunned by 2-3 enchanters while a couple wizards aoed them to death.

Wiz AoE snare doesnt last as long as druid spot snare. with a big mana pool its beneficial to pull more than 4 as a Wiz, as long as youre quadding fullspeed(thats what i did when starting out on the beetles). at higher lvls my snare is more reliable and mana pool can barely make two quads so just stick with 4

On live used to AOE in seb....my chanter and 1 or 2 others (usually just 2 chanters) would set up at bottom of ramp after coming down that set of stairs, past that 2 spawn....bottom of ramp in the corner (chanter stuns actually move the mob in direction chanter is facing, albeit very slightly)....pullers would pull ng, abc and disco to us then burn it all down, group make up was normally 2 chanters, cleric and 3 wizzys (or wiz / mag combo or some sort). Would make 40-50 aa / pull if I remember correctly
