Monk Wu's Quivering Staff vs Staff of Battle
Hey guys,
What do you think would be better for a monk with SCHW at lvl 25?

Without any testing, Id say Wu's for non-maxed dmg yet and faster hits for all those lower level misses

I love wqs. Great push on it for a 2 hander.
Haste is a factor improvement on overall damage, so is irrelevant for weapon comparisons. You're too low level to have a damage bonus and don't have good riposte. You've unlocked enough DMG to use either weapon at full swing. If all you are interested in is auto attack dps you just need to compare ratio as all other variables seem even. That's basically just a question of if two thirds is a bigger number than three quarters. Edit: so a ratio of 2/3 (roughly wqs) is 8 twelths. SoB is approx 3/4, which is 9 twelths. In other words SoB is an eight better than wqs (assuming uncapped DMG but no damage bonus).

SoB because 2 lower weight and better ratio
But WQS will gain more with main hand dmg bonus

The two things, as stated above, that are outside of this is dmg bonus and lvl based max dmg. Since you're lvl 25, you dont have dmg bonus yet and dmg is still capped till 30. So given the combination of these factors, the damage output of both will be relatively the same. As I said above, I still feel Wu's will be better at this point because you will miss a lot at low level and missing with slow 2H's really sucks. You can more or less ignore monk AC negatives with weight until you're in the 50's, as effective gear is so cheap and mobs dont hit hard enough for mitigation to really matter from the 10-20 AC differential. 2 hp/ac rings already offsets any AC loss you wouldve had. Get Wu's instead of staff of battle. Take that ~400p savings and get 2x hp/ac rings.
