Default Some characters run faster than others?

My friend playing on the same IP as me has a character who runs at a different speed, despite neither of us having anything that would affect our movement speeds (like encumbrance, walking, etc.) Is this a known issue and how can I solve it?

Might it be related to the Dual Core/Multi-Core issue? My brother had some issues with it that made his character physically run slower. Here's the stickied thread~

I believe if your AGI is below 75 you will lose some speed the lower below that it is. Not sure if that's related to your observations though.

The AGI of both our characters is the same.

This is probably the issue - I assumed it would be more salient than my friend's runspeed problem is. For her it's about 60% of a normal player's runspeed, -and only really noticeable when compared with another player's runspeed - which leads me to believe that most people have this problem and think it's "normal", hence why they make ignorant threads about being unable to outrun mobs with SoW.

In addition to multicore issues, CPU speed scaling can cause characters to run slow. Especially if running on a laptop, where it may be engaged 100% of the time and therefore will be a constant slow run, try disabling SpeedStep (Intel) or Cool 'N Quiet/PowerNow! (AMD).
