If anyone is watching tucker Carlson or any talking head on fox or nbc or cnn you are out of your fucking mind.
Watch cspan for real politics in action and tune into BBC for some slightly less targeted news media. You never need to watch some slime analyze news for you. The west is NOT punishing Russia over the top financially, and what matters most is what happens after the war ends during the war, they are at war.

I would promise now to the Russian civilians aid for rebuilding if they lose and are defeated by Ukraine. Our veitnam was half a world away and we didn't have our economy totally destroyed. The west didn't drop any bombs, there will be casualties and collateral reverberating out through generations from this. We missed out on an opportunity for a world where Ukraine and Russia spent those $10s of billions per day colonizing the moon. Because Putin wanted to collect rent from Gazprom. Americans should reflect on this at home and who we follow should never be dictated by our pocket change or how many bigmacs we can afford to transport in a given weekend for someone else's profits. Sorry Gustoo. I didn't really want to hijacking your message. It's perfect alone in its purist form without my commentary. Plz forgive. /\ for the Ukrainian, Russian, Everybody.

"You're statistically WAY more likely to be harmed by X than Y, therefor why the shit are you constantly talking about Y instead of X???"
is closer to what people are actually saying.

Eating fast food full of rancid and poisoned oils and fats terrifies me. It is *our right to have fresh whole organic foods every day.
Tbh we are all more likely "to die from that then anything else". Pesticides and plastic is #2 and #3 These things have killed more people in more insanely horrific ways over the last century than all of human history. 99% of all life is extinct in our present time. Restore the garden. That is the opportunity we were given when we left the gardens. Food for thought. (Since we are doing X, Y). We could even blame bad food for an indirect cause of warfare because people aren't getting enough nutrition for their brains to feel good enough to do good! /\

-"SKYROCKETING MURDER RATES," are screamed by National Fraternal Order of Police. -"An explosion of violent crime," says the talking head Mitch McConnell. -"Democrat-run cities across the country who cut funding for police have seen increases in crime," writes Patrick McHenry On social media and in political speeches, some Republicans and propolice groups say last year's calls to slash spending on law enforcement have led to a dramatic rise in killings in cities overseen by Democrats. The increases they cite are real, and several big cities did make cuts to police spending. But the reductions were mostly modest, and the same big increases in homicides are being seen nationwide; even in cities that increased police spending. At the same time, the rates for burglaries, drug offenses and many other types of crime are down in many cities across the country. The effort to blame Democrats for crime is just a Republicans' strategy for upcoming elections (a new twist on an old "law and order" argument from the days of Nixon.) Nixon used a similar argument in his campaign, arguing that protests over civil rights "have torn 300 cities apart." The strategy helped energize white voters concerned about racial integration; just as it does now against BLM protests. This was even shown in study by Elizabeth Hinton (Yale Law School professor who studies the history of criminalization.) Basically, Republicans are using the same TIRED old method for today's GOP voters and it is working on you Baler. Quote:
Late last month, the National Fraternal Order of Police posted a graphic on social media showing big increases in the homicide rate in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Portland, Oregon. All cities currently led by Democrats supporting the 'Defund the Police movement.' But homicides also rise where police funding maintained *In Houston, a city led by a Democratic mayor, killings have increased, but so, too, has funding for police. *Nashville, Tennessee, also led by a Democratic mayor, increased the police budget but has seen homicides spike 50% so far this year over last. *Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Fresno, California, have also seen more killings so far in 2021. Both cities have Republican mayors. Meanwhile, other types of crime are down, according to preliminary statistics and researchers who say crime initially dropped around the world after the pandemic began. While cities are reporting jumps in their homicide rate, there's been no similar increase in other crimes, like burglaries, robberies or drug offenses. That's not what you'd expect if calls to defund the police were leading to crime. Basically, any theory explaining the rise in homicides would also have to explain why we haven't seen a spike in other kinds of crimes. Hate to say this Baler but you just fell for Republican talking points that aren't even true.
