I still run daily and my lifts are higher than they have been my entire life. It seems like physicality is less of an issue if you take care of yourself. ( I always think of an old dude running down a hillside at 70 years old in an old HGH commercial)
I think the physical things really hit when you are compared to someone much younger. A few months ago I was helping dig a ditch for a friend and this 17 year old kid was going like a machine for hours upon hours. I am pretty good so I think he saw it as a challenge to outdo me, and throughout the day I was getting pretty tired while he continued on. (hopefully he torn a tendon or something, damn whippersnapper) I am talking more about the mental aspect. I empathize a lot more with old people just standing there and staring as the memories wash in from that time 30 years ago when ect. ect. [You must be logged in to view images.
