Default Why was taunt never fixed?

I was researching a bit about warriors and found this thread from back in 2010:

https://www.project1999.com/forums/a...p/t-22321.html

People talk about taunt being "fixed" several times. One guy mentions it will be "fixed in Kunark" to work on Yellow/Red cons occasionally.

Taunt still does not work on Yellow/Red cons, and I mean not once, in the entire time playing my level 52 warrior.

Was this fix overlooked?

Ah OK, thanks for the info!

Now to make through the 50s depending mostly on random procs for aggro against mobs that can delete casters in seconds... gonna be interesting.

Get some prod weapons taunt is just one of many tools needed to hold aggro. Combine them all and you will be ok. Remember this is EQ it's spose to be hard.

While you are not wrong, the rest of your group will do your job for you by rooting Mobs for proximity aggro or slowing the mob to the point a paper bag could tank it. As for caster, everyone should be helping to interrupt those ice comets.

What Tupakk means is that Everquest can be difficult for some classes, but for a warrior there is really zero skill involved. If you can slam/kick, sometimes switch a weapon or two, press your attack button, and kind half ass try to position mobs so your melee and pets can hit mobs from the rear than you got your class figured out. Rarely will you use clickies for normal xp grinding and well that's just 1 more button to hotkey. So ya you have like 4 abilities with long enough cool downs to have idle time in between. Oh ya just remember to turn off auto attack during rampage while drooling down your chin because any handicap can play a warrior on eq. Warriors get respect for play time not ability lol.
