Believe it or not I heard about it from a friend I had on a warcraft emulator. We got to talking about the good old days of MMOs and he told me about project1999.....so here I am.

YouTube for me. I was watching old EverQuest videos and I saw in the comment section people chatting about Project 1999. I thought it was some sort of scam or trojan-infested site so I never went. A few months later I went to another video where the guy was uploading Project 1999 footage (of his character) and was talking about his experiences. Thought I would give it a try and that's about it.

Was playing in a progression guild on live (Zek) back in '10 and people
were talking about it.
Before the big hack on SoE I was playing on the Vulak'Arr progression server.
After the hack I cancelled my account and started playing here not long after

Was youtubing Everquest, reminiscing about good times, & saw the youtube vid, "how to play the original everquest for free" which had download & installing instructions.

I heard about it on 4chan actually. Folks had an EQ thread and someone mentioned p99. so here I am today.
