Default Cannot get to Character Select Screen

It's been a few years since I've played on p1999 and was thinking to return now that Velious is out.

When I click "PLAY EVERQUEST!" on the server select window the screen flashes to black, the Everquest music starts, and then this message appears:

"The instruction at 0x0000000002E61C6B referenced memory at 0x00000000000000018. The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to Terminate the Program"

I'm running Windows 10 64-bit and have run WinEQ 2.0. I've run it without WinEQ 2.0 and it hits the same problem.

Any suggestions?

See #1 on Technical Discussion FAQ - Read before posting

If that doesn't fix it, try looking for answers in these threads.

I'm a super noob to this retro version of eq.... but I am having the same issue listed above, however, no matter how I search I cannot find "eqclient.ini" to edit it, I even tried searching *.ini and could not find it.... any suggestions? I am running windows 10.
