Default Player/NPC models not showing up on wine on linux

Hey guys, I've been trying to play EQ via wine and playonlinux and everything works fine EXCEPT that all player/NPC models are completely invisible. I can still see nameplates and weapons/shields. I've been trying to mess around with wine regedit to disable glsl, vertex shader, and pixel shader; I have also disabled any shading options I can find in eqclient.ini but for some reason these models will still not show up. If anyone is familiar with wine and this issue and could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome. Thank you!
