Default Nektolus Map incorrect

Hi,

I have searched through the forums for this one but have not had any luck finding any related issues to this (aside from being bound to the bridge when starting).

What is happening is that the map being displayed is incorrect, it is not so bad for me, but I have a friend who is a first timer and he has enough trouble navigating as it is.

I just wondered if anybody else has had this problem and is there a fix for it?

I double checked to make sure the setup is correct (including removing the files from the EQ directory) and everything looks good.

Cheers,

Evilbaa

First maps arent classic and we are lucky to have the few we even do have, which are all the newb zones, secondly the devs said they cant disable them, lastly I probally just saved you from alot of people yelling at ya.

I figured it was something along the lines of this, I just wanted to make sure this was the case. Couldn't find anything else previously posted about it. Will tell me mate to do things the old fashioned way (eqatlas time).

Thanks for the help!

To avoid any confusion, your friend could just delete his maps directory like I did. No muss, no fuss. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You can also point out to him that learning his way around using just landmarks can be a lot of fun.

You know, I've thought about how I can still remember where to go a lot of times in EQ, and I think it's because there were no Maps ^_^
