is jumping out of the water to avoid aggro on charm breaks an exploit or legal use of mechanics?

It's part of the zone mechanics in SG for seahorses and neriads only. The rest of the mobs swim freely and will gladly murder you in or out of the water.

There are lots of mechanics present that if utilized are considered an exploit though. Just a curious question as many people farm the seahorses and neriads, but has a GM ever weighed in if avoiding aggro on charm break via this mechanic is allowed or now.

I've had guides come into SG for other reasons and watch me kill neriads in this way without comment or consequence, so I'd say that's fairly definitive. Thank you for the question!
