pvp is the solution to this if they forced pvp enabled on all three boxes it would be less of a big deal\

also the zone disruption by lvl 60s with nothing better to do than tab in and out of the game every 30 mins would be much better too

If you ask someone in a big guild you should be fine. Most people on P99 aren't like players on live, they won't steal your stuff. Someone in a big guild is going to be even less likely to steal something since it would reflect badly on them and their guild.
