Default Succor taking more mana than expected

Maybe this isnt a bug but an understanding issue but..

Currently i can cast succor with as little as 300 mana. However, if i have full mana it is taking roughly 3 times the expected. I am basing this on rough calculations of mana from my gear and level. I need to update my magelo due to some recent gear changes . But just now i cast it from a full mana bar and it used over 2 bubbles (40%) and I believe I should have somewhere in the vicinity of 2600 mana - so around 1000 mana for a 300 mana spell?

Is that normal?

thanks

Default unfortunately...

succor and egress do unintended things: they exhaust a random amount of mana from every group member (including the caster, and in addition to the base mana cost from the spell) and succor can randomly exclude a group member, leaving them there instead of porting them (including the caster).

If you look at the numbered details on the wiki page, you'll see the additional mana decrease
