Default Problem after a few months on hiatus

I been away for a while... like 6 months. When I left P99 was running great on my PC. I've come back and downloaded the lastest patch and C&P'd the files to the proper eq directory, but something weird happens...

When I run the game (as administrator) I get a black screen that minimizes anytime I click with my mouse.

I was hoping someone could tell me if this is a new issue that I might be missing in the forums, or perhaps just some forehead slapping goof that I've let slip my mind.

Thanks

After a bit of thinking and reading, I realized that this issue was probably my resolution.

In the eqclient.ini file I changed the 4 lines under [VideoMode] to show as follows:

WindowedWidth=800
WindowedHeight=600
Width=800
Height=600

These settings got me into the game and I was able to alter the settings to a better resolution from there. I hope this helps anyone else who may have this problem

Yeah this sounds like a similar problem I had when going from windowed mode to full screen, glad you fixed it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
