Quest Issue: # of teeth Trakanon drops

He's killed in the center of his lair here which would induce a gate. Notice how he is pulled against the back wall by an experienced classic guild in the image.

The instructions for the quest say this:

Finally, get the strings for the Lute - Trakanon Gut Strings. These drop from Trakanon himself.

This was written before the update which added the undead bard. The fact that there was a change is reflected in the comments:

i heard that an undead bard spawns in trak's lair 12 hours after he died.. and you turn in the bottom part of the lute to him to make trakanon spawn !!! and that trakanon will drop the guts...

i wonder tho... will it drop JUST the guts? no teeth.. no BPs? this is so like Verant to do that.. and that would really f'n SUCK ... he's hard enough to kill (YES not all of us are so uber we can kill him with our eyes closed and our hands behind our back)

neway... can anyone post more details? id love to hear that he AT LEAST drops teeth and not JUST the guts.. heh

Anyone know what to give or what to do with the Undead Bard that now drops the Gut strings? Someone told me I give him the White & red scale & he spawns a mini trak.. But I dunno.. can I get some more Info? =)

Epic Quests:

As part of the Plane updates, we've made several adjustments to Epic
quests for a number of classes. Previously, questers of many classes
were put in direct competition with regular non-questing adventurers
for a few coveted spawns. In these cases, a new step has been added to
separate the "Epic Encounter" NPCs from the "Epic Quest" NPCs.

For those who are mid-quest, all quest requirements have remained the
same. In other words, if you turn the same items into the same NPC, the
same reward applies. What has changed is that some components may be in
a different location from where you expect them. It is recommended that
you check with the last NPC in line or other adventurers to find where
you need to go next.

Description

Now we must head off to Old Sebilis to kill the great beast, Trakanon. He will drop the Trakanon Gut Strings. Hand the strings, body, neck and head to Forpar and you will be rewarded with the Mystical Lute of Forpar. Now run back to Badric Slezaf and hand him the Top and Bottom of page 24, Page 25 and the Lute and you will be rewarded with the Singing Short Sword. The effect, Dance of the Blade, is an AoE group buff that grants 55% Haste, +30 STR, +30 ATK, and lasts for roughly 2.5 minutes. It will also boost the effect of all instrument based songs by 75%.

No mention of the Undead Bard. Checkmate, atheists.

Trak himself doesn't drop guts at this time.

Not sure I even set that up, but I think it *should* be a maximum of 6, but commonly 3-4.

And the undead bard Trakanon shouldn't drop teeth.

When the Undead Bard is implemented, the regular Trak stops dropping guts. There's a period after epics are introduced and before the Undead Bard is put in the game. During this period (where p99 currently is), Trak (the regular one) does in fact drop guts. If you think otherwise, post evidence, although I think you'll have a hard time refuting the evidence in my previous post.

No teeth from undead bard version.

No gut from normally spawned Trak when undead bard goes in.

Side tracked by where he is pulled to (correctly in image) and gate (this may indeed be his spawn, he was always up when we went in).

Side tracked also pointing out corpses clearly existing as a result of breath on a late Velious raid guild.

your posts clearly contradict each other and these people were just calling you out. If everyone is interpreting your post in the same manner, maybe it means you should learn to post more coherent arguments.
