Default Brand New Druid Blues

I have a hlf druid I just started and I seem like I have hit a wall in misty thicket. I am still using the starting club and it seems like at lvl 5 this place is no longer worth staying at. the area beyond the wall is OK but the down time seems longer then it should be. so 2 questions.

1. should I stay in rivervale or should I be heading to another stating area?
2. will upgrading my club make me kill faster at this lvl or do I just need to stick it out? what is a good cheep or free upgrade to the starting club?

Since you are halfling, hover over people doing the Rogue epic in Kithicor. Lots of DRU +wis items out of there, mostly no-drop too (so they rot often):

And some not no-drop:

They aren't fantastic ratios, but they are magic and +wis and better than the newbie club.

As far as where to EXP, the common comment is "go to EC, get buffs from tunnel, slaughter everything" but I really enjoy Faydwer as a starting continent as Steamfont, Butcherblock and Greater Faydark are amazing newbie zones. I also leveled a character out of Qeynos and Blackburrow for the first time and found out that is also a FANTASTIC newbie area. I've never leveled a halfling, so I don't have any tips for Rivervale area.

I second qeynos area. You can go from newbie yard to killing gnolls outside BB (and collecting all their teeth for the best quest ever inside qeynos warrior's guild), then move into BB and continue harvesting fangs into... low teens? Mid teens?

There's snakes you can fight in BB if the gnolls are all taken. You can pick off a couple different rabid animals in qeynos hills and then turn in their diseased pelts to make some PP in the temple of life.

After that the karanas are very big, but also full of stuff you can hunt if you want to stick around up through 30+.

You'll have more fun grouping on Faydwer or soloing in Qeynos than you will in EC. IMO, getting those buffs from high levels for 5-10 makes the leveling 10+ much less fun.
