I mained an erudite necro from release to OoW. It was nice having high INT so I could invest in other items, like HP. Between that and being able to bank anywhere, I loved it.

No doubt regen is great for a necro, though. I'm tempted to roll one eventually just to see the difference from my erudite.

Wow, I'm surprised Iksar isn't considered a must. I remember reading before people saying it wasn't even worth making a Necro if not Iksar and that you'd be better off as a Mage than a non-Iksar Necro. Happy to see that not everyone agrees with that though haha.

Alright then, if not Iksar... I guess its between Erudite, Gnome, and Dark Elf?
Must is a strong word, but there are literal books written on this subject. Just type in sesserdrix necro or something close to that for further enlightenment.

I do like your question regarding the other necro races, erudite, gnome, dark elf, and human and if there is any hierarchy there. I've played human and erudite and I could not see any difference.
But I only played them to the mid 30's.
