It's unfortunate, but there it is.

The cops are explicitly trained to shoot to kill when they see this. Especially to save a life, presumably the girl in pink.

Id rather the police didnt think they were super hero's and their job is to save lives.

It's to maintain order.

They are not ED-209's designed to protect us from all harm. I dont need protection from harm. I dnt need them running around shooting people to protect others from it either.

You say this now but you are presumably a strong healthy male who can defend himself.

I was on the receiving end of violence as a child. No one defended me from the gun wielding maniac. If I had succesfully defended myself, I would have been fucked. In ways you can't imagine. This is a dumb place and time to play devils advocate.
