I'll conceed, as a foreigner, there may be a transatlantic difference in how trivialised the phrase 'lynching' is as a figure of speech uk vs us.

Trump used a poor choice of words by calling it a "lynching". "Anal impalement" would have been a more accurate term, on many levels.
