Exclamation Better classic elementals!

I came across this little gem today:

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Classic elemental models with newer hi-res Luclin textures. The original author is from the Shards of Dalaya server, and I came across his post on the EQEmu forums and luckily there was still a mirror hosting the textures. Here's the original post that he made for them: https://shardsofdalaya.com/forum/thr...graphics.28625 - I don't recommend installing the original global_chr.s3d hosted by the mirror in that thread, because you might end up with a bunch of other non-classic stuff that will look broken on P99, so I'll write up a quick tutorial on how to install these:

1. Download and extract elementaltextures.rar to a location of your choice: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...altextures.rar

2. Download and extract EQGExport to a location of your choice: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...s/EQGExport.7z

3. Run EQGExport.exe in the EQGExport folder.

4. Click File -> Set Search Folder -> select your EverQuest directory and click OK.

5. In the lefthand Filter field, type global_chr, and then select global_chr.s3d directly beneath it.

6. In the righthand pane, right-click one of the .bmp files and select Import Files...

7. Navigate to the elementaltextures folder that you extracted in step 1, select all files in the folder and click Open.

8. Wait for it to import the files (program may freeze for a moment), close EQGExport once you're done (no need to save anything), then restart your EverQuest client.

Enjoy!
