this issue goes all the way back to 2010, dev responded that it may have changed from Qeynos to SFG at some point, more information is needed to make the change.

I can confirm my Half-Elf Druid was created and started in Surefal Glade inside the giant tree facing the guild masters way back in 1999.
Unfortunately evidence beyond my memory will be tough to come by I think.

Here is some evidence from an old archived website.

I started a Human Karana Ranger in December 2000. 100% sure I started in Surefall. Sorry, no evidence though!

I was a human karana ranger and I distinctly remember not being able to get out of the tunnel from surefall the qeynos hills bc it was too dark to navigate until someone hooked me up with a torch.

My first character was a Half-Elf Ranger back in 1999. I vividly remember starting in Surefall Glade, because I spent my first hour of playtime wandering around trying to figure out what to do until a friendly Barbarian gave me a lightstone and pointed me towards Qeynos.

They include rats, gnolls, bats, snakes, fire beetles, klicniks, and other easy monsters. You first want to start out by buying your spells. The Druid guild is the zone that you start in, Surefall.
