Default Unkown Error

Everytime I click the play everquest button after selecting the server, all I get is a message saying "an unknown error has occurred", than nothing. Can someone please help, I really can't wait to jump back into this game lol.

Probably not the issue, but perhaps try this -

Check the [Video Mode] section of the eqclient.ini file - make sure the resolution settings match the current resolution of your monitor currently. This has fixed this problem for me in the past.

After server select, 3d models and other things are engaged and when the resolutions in the INI file and your monitor don't match, it causes problems.

Just a thought.

Default Not sure which file...

Not sure which file your talking about, which folder is it in? In the EQ main folder I don't see an eqclient.ini file.

Yes, there is a file in the Everquest folder (wherever you have it installed) called eqclient.ini. Some of the video and other system settings are in that file.

In my case, I have Everquest in the default install location -

c:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Everquest

Your Everquest folder may be in a different location.
