How painful is leveling a cleric?

Been thinking about making an alt cleric but want an idea of what I'm getting myself into. Currently main a shaman so I can solo if I don't find a group. Clerics basically just require a group right? Do you find them pretty easily?

You can solo undead fairly well.

However, it's very similar to pre-quadding Wizard root nuking.

If you want to level fast, starting at level 20ish, seek to duo with an enchanter who knows what he's doing, ideally one who played another enchanter before.

If you can find a static partner enc to play with every day for a few hours, you can make 20-50 in a week or maybe like 10 days. It gets a lot faster with Clarity at 29, and even faster with CH at 39.

I know it's a powerful duo, but how exactly does an enchanter benefit from having a cleric around? I'm assuming they're charm kiting, right?

Not kiting.

Here's how this is an effective duo:

- Enchanter charms best possible pet, and drops some -MR and torch/proccing weapons on it.
- Buff the crap out of the pet
- No exp penalty since you are grouped
- Enchanter pet tanks rooted mob(s)
- Cleric heals pet
- Cleric helps on charm break/general CC with roots and stuns

The enchanter/cleric duo is premised around the fact that the two most overpowered spells in the game are complete heal and charm. Charm gives the duo an incredible tank and DPS, and CH is far more efficient on a mob than on any level appropriate warrior.

A good cleric/enc duo can easily hold down pretty much any quality XP camp in the game, and not have to share.

I would absolutely love to make another enchanter and mega twink it and level again.

Would be fun to apply everything I've learned over the years from day 1

I just don’t want to camp VT/VD again.
