Default Can't Get Past Server Screen

Hey everyone,

I've done a lot of googling and searching, and I've seen others who have been having this problem, but I haven't found any solutions.

I just installed Titanium, I went through the installation instructions for getting Project 1999 up and running to a T (deleting specific files, adding specific files, etc.), and I can get to the server select screen but as soon as I select a server and hit "Play" it kicks me back to the login screen.

I'm running on Windows 7 for what it's worth. Not sure what to do - help!

Usually means your screen resolution is not set properly, using the options setup in the client doesn't work, you need to edit eqclient.ini in your Everquest folder and set the screen rez to whatever your desktop is.

I changed everything that looked relevant to my desktop res:

[VideoMode]
Width=1920
Height=1200
WidthWindowed=1920
HeightWindowed=1200
WindowedWidth=1920

I also turned off my secondary monitor in Windows just in case that was an issue. When I select a server, EQ flickers, and then boots me back to the Login screen :/

Edit: I had installed it on a secondary hard drive (D[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.], so just to be safe I reinstalled on my C: drive - still have the same problem. Not sure what to do at this point. I've also tried it with my firewall turned off. I'm also running it in compatibility mode for XP:SP2 and as administrator. Here's the top part of my DxDiag in case it helps:

If the height/width numbers are different, that's probably fine. Any resolution you want should work. I think all that matters is that both resolutions match, and that WindowedMode is set to true.

For the full screen issue; if you have dual monitors, choose to display on your main screen only. When you get to the character select screen and click enter game it will go back to windowed mode. Alt Enter back to full screen and its fine for the remainder.

If you don't want the hassle of that, then single monitor and disable Win Aero.

Using a dual monitor setup? EQ cant run on them by themselves. You have to use Wineq and just resize it to your resolution to get "fullscreen" on dual monitors.

Thanks for the tips Lyra.

I tried all of them, but unfortunately nothing seems to be helping. I've tweaked the eqclient.ini file, I've tried running WinEQ2, I've tried disabling my second monitor along with Aero, and I've tried all of the above while disabling SLI.

I'm sure this is a fixable problem, but I'm not really sure what to do at this point. Any other ideas?
