read the whole list, will watch Deer Hunter I still haven't.

I've been "studying cinema" lately, so this is pretty timely.

go watch The Hidden Fortress (1953), it's AMAZING, paced better than any movie and legit exciting with legit stunts. just watch it, it's incredible. the star is a dupe for my husband also.

also, Harakiri (1962) because it's better than Kill Bill which is also gr8

12 angry men because nobody respects muh institutions anymore

the fifth element because fun

das boot because you're probably a nazi sympathizer anyway

high and low best police procedural, the couple who owns the house the movie starts in is me and my husband fyi

psycho if u read this forum u should really watch it

wag the dog because you are really far behind the 8ball on politics

also just watched Silence (2016) and was surprisingly moved, it's about priests trying to convert japs and being persecuted, very weird movie if you have any critical theory in you re: what tf the missionaries are even doing and how confused everyone is, it's also kind of 1984y in a weird way but hopeful.

Some of my favourites have already been mentioned. Come and See, Das Boot and The Deerhunter are all stellar.

My absolute favourite of all time is Stalker (Tarkovsky). Nothing else really comes close to this film.
