Default Aqua Goblins (bb) and Platinum

I apologize for the half assed bug report, i am at work, but upon some reminiscing, it Dawned on me...

The Aqua Goblin Camps in Butcherblock mountains was where i used to farm money on my druid back on Live... all of these posts are from pre 2003, which i believe is when they nerfed the camp... maybe even later...

There were 4 items believe that all sold for 5p each, 2 of these items were stackable, i think steins and goblin heads were the ones that didnt stack... (not sure been a long time)

I think the only thing they actually nerfed was the price that merchants bought the items that were dropped.

Not sure how badly P99 needs more Platinum farms in the mix, but might be nice for the new peeps/low levels, also... its(was) a LEGIT plat farm [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

nice find, and would definitely help out lower levels who are struggling with platinum (or as the posters were complaining about, higher levels camping these mobs)

I remember those things. I was thinking of taking a visit to see them yesterday but never did. The nerf did happen in 2003 or i believe 2004. though i do remember the server i was on had some farmers, but if you asked they would allow you, especially if they saw you where low level.

Those mobs were added sometime. It wasn't during kunark iirc. They are currently in the game, but I'm not sure they should be. I can remember a time when you could run down the beach from 'shore dwarves' to 'dock dwarves' and there were no goblin camps.

Holy necropost batman! but yea, we are well into velious and I know these items were dropping at this point in the game, is there any chance of seeing them added? btw i figgured better to just bump this post rather than start a new one since it has all the info summed up so nicely

That looks like Luclin newbie quest armor.

As mentioned in Green forum, no evidence was posted that these existed during classic era, earliest evidence shows Mid-Luclin and mentions of the 'new plat farm' in July 2002.

Moving to resolved. Please repost if you find classic evidence.

Yup this was way after classic. Back when they put in newbie armor quests and the high price on the items was fixed cause it caused high levels to camp those things all day long so newbies couldn't get anything.
