Next step is to convince al'kabor project people (legit very classic like here), the EQmac clone, to open a pvp server. That will go to Planes of Power for those tired of trilogy.

I'm personally fine with trilogy. Hell I quit before velious so i'd look forward to that on a new red anyways.

What will be different this time around are the tons of bugs fixed between old red and new red. That and whatever new rules they put in place. Hopefully sullon zek teams as something fresh.

You all are fat and lazy generally just want to play smash brothers. The grind to 50 with pvp and fighting over eventually obsolete items is prob the most exciting time on EQ. It took me a couple months to get my first char to 50 on red and I still ended up with a couple guises and manastones. So what’s the fucking rush??

I second tassador. The pvp skirmishes on the way to 50, with the excitement of every ding, every small upgrade, etc., is the best part of this game. The end game and the dream of “mass pvp” (zone hugging and buff refreshing for six hours) sucks.

Eq1 pvp has always been complete trash. Always has, always will get over it move on.

This is a really bad idea. It requires custom zones and restrictions and borders on portions of the population from a dev group that doesn't like custom content. It would essentially be trying to run two servers on one server. Two separate games where the populations can't interact on the same server. I have never seen such a bad idea and the author of this idea is serious.

Actually this is what everyone on project 1999 wants. Maybe not locked but some sort of seasons or recycle like Green 99.
