Lists for camps. A total Failure.

Im starting to have my doubts on this system myself...

Ran into a list camp with no one on it then be immediately berated by the people with sub 35 there and told to LEAVE for having the audacity to use the methods in which GMS have given us to list for an item....

Long story short, within minutes i was trained. Got that on video so, i suppose we will see what happens there..

They were clearly in the wrong. All they have to do is level to 35 (25 for Drelzna’s JBoots) and no one can stop them from getting a list item.

Word on the street is Teal and Green offer Manastone/Jboot/Guises just like in classic, but there is a 100% non-classic mechanic in use to obtain them.

During classic on blue, you asked the dude ahead of ya that was holding the list to put your name in, and you did something else that wasn't a mentally and physically terrible. Sometimes you asked them to text your phone. Life was peachy.

Yes, I get it... guilds or groups of friends will monopolize the camp, but frankly, this was something that was over-thought. Heres why:


1. We have a mechanic in place that is essentially a revolving door for loot that is forcing our community to stay logged in 40+ hours to get items. Sounds fun right?


Example. Ask anyone at Jboot or Manastone camp.


How about enforcing the person killing EE to be accountable for a list and capping it, rather than forcing the community to sit at the PC for several days at a time for an item that everyone wants.

And I am sure there will be an argument that.. well, don't like the rules, then don't do it? If these camps are just going to be a revolving door of people waiting in line for 50 hours, doesn't it defeat the entire reason these items are even special to begin with? Why have 2 classic servers, and neither of them have classic rules and it just be a revolving door of wasted time?


2. To add insult to injury, we have players who couldn't normally hold down these camps, holding down these camps. Further adding to the que.

Example. A level 25 warrior had Jboot camp, but couldnt get in the door, and couldnt kill Rathyl. The camp was held for several hours without the PH ever being killed. Most players under 30 would struggle holding down that room solo.


All you need is no life or a weeks vacation to sit and stare at the PC. This is a failed mechanic, and makes the most exciting part of the game one of the worst parts of p99.

Wait... so it was being camped by people who were not high enough to be on the list, and then you showed up and listed yourself ? Damn lol
