High Keep & Goblin Ears

So I'm "threatening" con in High Pass and High Keep as a Dark Elf, went down to the Goblins in high keep last night invis, got a bunch of left goblin ears while in a group. I was wondering if anybody could answer my questions about this quest. I'd like to get at least out of the KOS realm, hopefully be able to trade too.

Captain Bosec will pay between 1 and 5 gold for each left goblin ear you turn over to him. He generally stands close to the entrance of the cellars, near the bank. I'm pretty sure you will not get a faction hit if you are grouped with somebody turning these in.

I have been told that wolf form does work but have not attempted myself.

Maybe this could work if the wolf thing doesnt? Have invis cast on you, then use your racial hide and turn them in?

Handing in items breaks hide.
You need to be sneaking behind them, but dark elves don't get that racial ability.

You could hand in gnoll scalps to raise your faction, that's what I did to get it to dubious but there are still many nasties on various factions there that hate us.

Well, if Wolf Form doesn't work I could try slaughtering Orcs til I get dubious and then see if handing in ears works. There's more conflicting info on Allakam's about that - some say you CAN hand in the ears if you are dubious, others say no.

If you are dubious you can always use the hide trick to become indifferent for your turn in... or is that exploiting?

HHK is a worthless faction anyways. Better to farm the guards anyways.

I don't farm guards that often, warriors don't make the best farmers. When I do, it's Paineel. As it stands, I can't walk through the pass or rivervale at all, I'm pretty limited on travel by foot.
