meh I don't know, but I liked the class + race the most of EQ2 back in the early days, even though the rest of the game was sterilized and factionless. I'm not a fan of D&D ranger, my class of choice is the arcane archer.

I don't think as a permanent race, but on the PVP server they did have a period where you could play NPC's in certain zones. I think one of the zones had gnolls in it.

I tried to make a gnome warrior....and just pretended I was a paladin that couldn't cast spells.....

I also tried to make a gnome cleric ....and just pretended I was a paladin that was really good at casting spells.....

But....but....it isn't the same!!!! :*(
