When I accidentally found out that EQ is now FTP, I thought I'd try it out again. It was really care bear. I was complaining about how easy it was and someone suggested Project 1999.

Originally on my old guilds message board and then I looked into it a little more on FoH.

I was researching the Spirit Shroud ops for EQEmu when Project 1999 was announced. Obviously, I never finished the work on Spirit Shrouds, although I was able to decode some of the ops for it. (Never found the magic one that actually transformed you.) :P Can't remember why I stopped playing P99 back then, but I was going through some tough times. A RL friend started telling me about P99 and that they were playing it just recently, so I loaded up my chars again and am having a blast.

I wanted to check how the other classic eq project was doing, and I noticed it still hasnt gone further. So I checked google if there is anything similar and found p99. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
I love it, people are as nice (often even nicer) as in the classic days and I am addicted again.
I just wish I would have found it sooner to experience it again without Kunark. Still, I am excited for Velious and Luclin.

One day, about a year ago, while surfing, I stumbled upon my guild's long-since dead, former ezboards forum and read an old post about it.
